Infant Care

The time spent with an infant while cuddling, singing, reading or even talking to the baby will have positive lifelong effects. At Ruiz Family Child Care we want to maximize these experiences for your baby. Our dedicated staff will help make your baby’s transition as smooth as possible by providing a home-like environment that will help your baby feel comfortable. In addition, Ruiz Family Child Care will make sure that we adhere to the schedule you have set in place for your baby. We do this to prevent your baby from experiencing anxiety due to frequent change in schedule.

At Ruiz Family Child Care we have a thorough tracking system that will document your baby’s feeding times, changing times, mood, fecal consistency, and much more so you will know exactly how we are working with your baby.

For Toddlers

Your child is developing more and more physically and socially as they embark on a journey of becoming self-aware. These are the most important years of your child’s life and it’s our job as parents and teachers to introduce them to as many new adventures as possible. We understand that this is an around the clock effort and that’s where we come in. We make it our job to facilitate the cognitive growth of your child. Our curriculum is built to intrigue your child and get them excited about learning.

School-Age

Ruiz Family Child Care recognizes the growing physical, intellectual, and social competence of the increasingly independent school-age child. Eager to achieve socially and academically while expanding their knowledge of the world, 5- to 12-year olds seek new challenges, close friendships, and increasing responsibilities. Our programs offer enriching learning opportunities in a fun environment for maturing school-age children. This includes distance learning, before-school and after-school care, back-up or emergency care for school holidays and closings, for children up to age 12.

Inside Our Playrooms

During playtime at our day care center, we encourage each child to use their imagination and embrace their creative side. We also offer activity-based learning that helps children develop social skills. In addition to going on field trips and doing arts and crafts projects, we teach English and Spanish at basic levels to help our children improve their reading, writing, and speaking skills.

Dramatic Play Area

We’ve taken our time the playrooms to keep your child curious. We didn’t simply outfit our areas with useless alphabet and counting posters and expect to learn that way. That is the lazy way. We put learning in your children’s hands, LITERALLY! From the moment your child walks in our playroom there is something to see, hear, smell, grab, pull, manipulate, squeeze, and all that a child needs to receive constant sensory input. Our playroom is a place for kids to not only explore but to experience and learn something new everyday.

Education
Children learn a great deal from our daily play activities. Playing with Play-Doh™, finger painting, singing, or reading books are typical activities your child will be involved in. We strongly believe that children learn by actively participating, and this is why we provide activities that are appropriate for children of all ages.

Outdoor Play

We try to take the children outside every day for fresh air and exercise. Activities range from sidewalk drawing to planting flowers in the garden. Often we will bundle up and go outside for a few minutes on a cold day. On a warm, sunny day, we may spend a lot of time outdoors and enjoy our new playground.

Policies & Procedures

We accept Cash, Check, Zelle, Paypal

We work with Children’s Home Society, Crystal Stairs, Department of Child and Family Services.

Given the current climate and in induction of a new normal, we require all parents to wear masks during pick and drop off time. Parents are also required to remain six feet from the door at all times unless dropping off a child who is not currently walking. We know it is difficult to read this, however, we are trying to limit contact as much as possible.

We understand that Covid-19 safety is on the mind of our parents. Our Covid-19 protocol is very strict as it is our intention to keep your children as safe as possible. We hope all parents who decide to attend our daycare share the same belief.

We are:

Utilizing masks

Performing Temperature Checks and hand sanitizing at the door

Sanitizing all toys after each use by a child

My vacation policy states that I will take up to four weeks of vacation time per year. In August, I take an unpaid vacation for two weeks. This time off is prescheduled with plenty of notice given to you. I send out memos throughout the year notifying you about upcoming vacations. I realize the importance of having a dependable daycare provider. In the ten years that I’ve done daycare, I have rarely taken a day off outside of my designated vacation time.
